Identifying Features:
Stabler has "angel wing" dark eyeliner.
Plymouth is the largest of the three.
Joseph is usually the sentry.

Spotted Hyena

Taziki (F) born 1/26/2008
Identifying Features:
Taziki is a little bigger, a little fluffier, and has a notch on side of left ear. She has claimed the cave, so 95% or more of the time, it is her in the cave.
Tamu has more pink on her lower lip . She generally looks more upkept with a couple cowlicks sticking up on her back. She moves more rigidly.

His name means "pepper" in swahili, pronounced pee-lee pee-lee
Identifying Features:
Zuri has a light crescent shaped patch on her forehead and larger freckles on her nose. She has a smaller tuft of black on her tail. Weight ~300 lbs (12/2024)
Kamara is a bit bigger than Zuri with a rounder head. She has a dark spot on her forehead and smaller nose freckles. She has a larger tuft of black on her tail. Weight ~320 lbs (12/2024)
Pilipili is our male, he has a few wounds from transport. Weight ~480 lbs (12/25)

Alidaber (Ali) (M) est 100+ years old (a keeper told me he's around 120!)
High Dome (F) est 80 years old

Identifying Features:
Ali is the largest and has a progressive chronic problem with the vertebra in his neck and now has permanent kinks. Ali weighs around 620 lbs.
High Dome has a high, smoother domed shell
Low Dome has low, smoother shell. She was lame in her right rear leg upon arrival and she will still favor it occasionally
Bullet has pointy scutes (the hard scales that look like separate plates)
Maya is taller than the females and Bullet

**Sadly, we lost Nikki in April 2025. She was in the Guiness Book of World Records for the oldest living Mandrill in captivity.
Identifying Features:
Jax is much larger than the girls and very colorful
Kesi has all white hair on her belly

Identifying Features:
Moja is the largest of the troop and has a long cape.
Ana has a huskier build with a lighter face. She loves children (she was hand-reared). She will sit in front of the window and chatter or vocalize.
Addison is currently the smallest baboon. She is often seen running around and seen holding or playing with rocks.
Mzuzi is currently similar in size to Ana but is starting to develop his mantle (the cape that males grow. They typically will have that mantle fully grown by 7 years old.) His hair is also darker in color compared to Moja's. He is seen often playing with enrichment, running around the habitat.

Identifying Features:
Pepper has four black spots on left side of chest. She is the smallest of the group.
Tex has a light colored splotch on his right back flank in the shape of Texas.
Slash has a light colored strip or 'slash' on his right back flank (very obvious from the back). He is also the biggest of the three and has the most white on his tail.

Isaac has a lighter coat, and his hair is very straight and soft.
Crocket has a lighter coat, and his hair is wiry and curly.
