• Kivu has an ear notch and missing horns

• Manze has short horns

• Pony is missing her right horn

• Nugget is missing 1/2 of right horn and 1/4 of left horn. 

• Pepper's full horns are widely set

• Peach - missing 1/4 of right horn

• Spike has only one wing due to injury and amutation when he was younger, before he arrive at the Phx Zoo.

• Pecan - Tag RT Blue, wide set horns

• Pistachio - Tag RT white, R horn hangs low by ear, missing tail

• Peanut - Tag RT red, horn tips almost touch

• Chestnut - Tag RT Blue 3, horns point out

• Fynn - no ear tag, larger, fuller horns

*Note: Fennec foxes may experience alopecia (hair loss) in the summer months. Vets and keeper staff are monitoring them closely.

• Stabler has "angel wing" dark eyeliner.

• Plymouth is the largest of the three.

• Joseph is usually the sentry.

• Taziki is a little bigger, a little fluffier, and has a notch on side of left ear. She has claimed the cave, so 95% or more of the time, it is her in the cave.

• Tamu has more pink on her lower lip . She generally looks more upkept with a couple cowlicks sticking up on her back. She moves more rigidly.

• Zuri has a light crescent shaped patch on her forehead and larger freckles on her nose. She has a smaller tuft of black on her tail. Weight ~300 lbs (12/2024)

• Kamara is a bit bigger than Zuri with a rounder head. She has a dark spot on her forehead and smaller nose freckles. She has a larger tuft of black on her tail. Weight ~320 lbs (12/2024)

• Pilipili is our male, he has a few wounds from transport. Weight ~480 lbs (12/25)

• Ali is the largest and has a progressive chronic problem with the vertebra in his neck and now has permanent kinks. Ali weighs around 620 lbs.

• High Dome has a high, smoother domed shell

• Low Dome has low, smoother shell. She was lame in her right rear leg upon arrival and she will still favor it occasionally

• Bullet has pointy scutes (the hard scales that look like separate plates)

• Maya is taller than the females and Bullet

Mary is exhibited separately from Jane and Fennel due to behavioral incompatibility. The porcupines are switched daily in the mornings, so each group is visible every other day.

• Jax is much larger than the girls and very colorful

• Kesi has all white hair on her belly

• Moja is the largest of the troop and has a long cape.

• Ana has a huskier build with a lighter face. She loves children (she was hand-reared). She will sit in front of the window and chatter or vocalize.

• Addison is currently the smallest baboon. She is often seen running around and seen holding or playing with rocks.

• Mzuzi is currently similar in size to Ana but is starting to develop his mantle (the cape that males grow. They typically will have that mantle fully grown by 7 years old.) His hair is also darker in color compared to Moja's. He is seen often playing with enrichment, running around the habitat.

• Tucker has a pointy shell

• Dawn is the smallest

• Jean is the largest

• Pepper has four black spots on left side of chest. She is the smallest of the group.

• Tex has a light colored splotch on his right back flank in the shape of Texas.

• Slash has a light colored strip or 'slash' on his right back flank (very obvious from the back). He is also the biggest of the three and has the most white on his tail.

• Isaac has a lighter coat, and his hair is very straight and soft.

• Crocket has a lighter coat, and his hair is wiry and curly.

• Romeo has a darker coat, and his hair is wooly and curly.

• Comet has left red ear tag

• Mantabe has left blue ear tag

• Ankavia has right yellow ear tag
