Greater One-horned Rhino (Indian Rhinoceros)

Identifying Features:
Chutti weighs around 5500 lbs (as of 12/2024) He is larger and has more folds around his neck. Chutti may be seen in one of the new elephant exhibits across from the jaguars.
Bhotu is like a 'miniature' Chutti. He is smaller and may be seen in the older elephant exhibit across from Plaza De Los Ninos. Bhotu weighs just over 3,000 lbs (as of 12/2024).
Location:
Bhotu, Chutti, and Indu (elephant) rotate between three sections of elephant exhibits.

Scarlet Ibis

6 total, most hatched between 2011-2012

**Regular exhibit is currently under construction. Ibises are currently in Tropical Flights in old Hornbill exhibit.
Identifying Features:
Male banded on the right - metal 72, L. green 07 (wrap)
3 Males transferred to Honolulu Zoo in March 2024

Identifying Features:
Mary is curious and social. She has a smoother shell than Junior & Mopey. She weighs around 200 lbs.
Mopey is the largest of the Volcan Darwin Tortoises, weighing over 400 lbs.
Lola weighs about 200 lbs.
Elivs is around 550 lbs.
Bella is between 250 and 300 lbs.

Next to Chacoan Peccaries
Mary & Mopey are on left side - Volcan Darwin Tortoises.
Lola, Elvis, and Bella are on right side - Iguana Cove Tortoises.
Chacoan Peccary (Tagua)

**Exhibit is currently empty as construction begins on the new Doornbos Animal Rescue and Care Center. They will remain off exhibit until the project has been completed.
