History:

• All three were born at Disney's Animal Kingdom to different parents the same year.

• Our 3rd Nyala, Rye (M) 2/21/2020, was transferred to San Diego Safari Park in March or April of 2025.

More Information:

• Graze and brows. Eat leaves, twigs, flowers and fruits.

• During rainy season, they mainly eat the fresh grass

• Nyala sometimes follow feeding babons, taking advantage of the fruits and leaves that the baboons dislodge from trees.

• Large males weigh over 250 lbs.

• Raise white fur on back for breeding displayt or predator alarm
