phoenix Zoo TRAIL CARDS
History:
Rosemary and Spike arrived at the Phx Zoo in May of 2025.
Sadly, we lost Milton, the marabou stork. Milton came to the Zoo in 1984 making him about 40 years old and an incredibly long-lived animal for the species. He was the fifth oldest living stork in the population in the 2020 breeding transfer plan, and according to ZIMS, the oldest currently living marabou in AZA is only 33. He was an amazing animal and will be missed. (from Volunteer newsletter 10/2/23)
