History:

Kashyyyk was scheduled to depart to another zoo, but it was postponed. Unsure of current plans for him.

More Information:

  • Thought to be the most powerful vulture in Africa

  • Can eat up to 51 oz of food in one meal

  • Hunts small mammals, reptiels, fish, and even birds - including baby flamingos

  • Strong, sharp beak which allows it to more easily break into the tough skin of dead animals.

  • Often dominant over other vulture species at a large carcass.
