Acquired in 2017 from private owner.
Castrated male (gelding).
Select volunteers able to groom, pick up hooves, and walk.
He is allowed turnout in the Windmill Yard and Equine facility.

A mule is the offspring of a male donkey (jack) and female hors (mare).
A hinny is the offspring of a female donkey and male horse.
A mule is easier to obtain than a hinny
Valued for its size and ground-covering ability (which comes from female parent - mare)
Stronger than a horse of similar size, it inherits endurance and disposition from donkey sire
Requires less food than a horse of similar size
More independent, patient, hardy, and long-lived than horses
More intelligent than donkeys
