More Information:

Black-necked Gartersnake

  • Found near water in desertscrub, grasslands, chaparral, woodland environments

  • Active during the day and twilight

  • Hibernate late fall to winter

  • Dietary generalist actively forages for frogs, toads, tadpoles, lizards, salamanders, snakes, small mammals, fish and insects.

Narrow-Headed Gartersnake
