Madrean Alligator Lizard

  • Tail 2x length of body

  • Mogollon Rim through sky islands

  • Diurnal and crepuscular

Yarrow's Spiny Lizard

  • Only found in sky islands

  • Delayed implantation - able to time having babies to when food is available

  • Diurnal

  • Found everywhere in Arizona except the desert

  • Canyons and arroyos
